Job Purpose
The IT Ops Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of IT operations within the organization, including technical support, inventory management, and contributing to strategic planning. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, organizational skills, and leadership abilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the IT department.

Key Responsibilities
Helpdesk Administration
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in person
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, operating systems, and applications
- Resolve common technical problems and escalate complex issues to higher-level support as needed
- Manage and maintain the helpdesk including assigning tickets, ensuring accurate tracking, and resolution of support requests
- Ensure timely updates to end-users on the status of their support requests from all team members
- Generate reports on helpdesk performance and identify trends to improve support services
- Provide basic training and support to end-users on the use of hardware, software, and IT systems
- Develop and maintain user documentation and guides
Inventory Management Administration
- Maintain accurate records of all IT equipment, including hardware, software, and peripherals
- Conduct regular physical inventories to verify the accuracy of inventory records
- Process incoming and outgoing equipment, including receiving, storing, and distributing items
- Manage the disposal of obsolete or damaged equipment in accordance with company policies
- Generate inventory reports as needed
IT Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services with continuous improvement
- Monitor IT performance and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date on emerging IT technologies and trends
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT standards and regulations
- Coordinate IT projects and initiatives, from planning and execution to completion
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT management or a related role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Windows, ChromeOS, and macOS operating systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage teams
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Familiarity with common IT support tools, ticketing systems, and inventory management software
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Experience with PC upgrade, maintenance, and repair
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP)
