Summary: Our client is seeking a seasoned Director of IT and Security to oversee and manage their technology infrastructure, security protocols, and IT support services. This role is pivotal in driving technological strategies, ensuring compliance with security audits, and maintaining policies aligned with industry standards such as the Trusted Partner Network (TPN). The ideal candidate will lead the day-to-day IT operations, ensure system integrity, and be a key player in the company’s technical leadership.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Supervise help desk to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues.
- Offer hands-on support to staff, troubleshooting both hardware and software concerns.
- Manage software and plugin updates, ensuring all systems remain current.
- Implement and maintain security protocols in line with industry requirements, including auditing and reporting for compliance, particularly TPN.
- Regularly review, update, and enforce internal security policies to safeguard systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure security standards are met, including managing external support teams for auditing and reporting.
- Maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including server and storage management, as well as internal and external network systems.
- Ensure proper access controls are in place for users and third-party vendors, managing both on-site and remote access.
- Oversee remote access solutions such as Teradici/HP Anywhere, ensuring smooth operations for remote staff.
- Ensure secure transfer and storage of sensitive media assets, adhering to stringent data workflow protocols.
- Manage Data I/O systems for uploads and downloads, ensuring they meet security and compliance standards.
- Oversee compliance with external studio and vendor audits, ensuring all technical systems adhere to operational and security standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of technology policies, keeping them aligned with industry best practices and TPN compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in IT management or a related field. Experience within the media or entertainment industry preferred.
- Familiarity with studio audit processes and handling sensitive media files.
- Advanced skills in troubleshooting Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Teradici, Apple Remote Desktop, Microsoft Remote Desktop, and Office 365.
- Experience in help desk management and security compliance.
- Networking knowledge is a plus.
- Strong experience with server infrastructure, storage systems, and access controls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to IT challenges.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
