Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and network engineer / technician responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for our networking infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, performance problems, and configuration errors.
- Install, configure, and maintain networking devices and related software applications.
- Collaborate with network engineers and other IT professionals to design, implement, and upgrade network infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities and threats.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. 7. Assist in the planning and execution of network infrastructure projects, including hardware upgrades and technology migrations.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Cisco networking products and solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Panorama and Palo Alto firewalls is preferred.
- Cisco Certified Support Technician (Networking) or higher is preferred.
- Proven experience in providing technical support for networking equipment and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with end-users and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
