Our client is looking for a Sr. Director, IT Operations & Risk. This person is responsible for overseeing operation and strategic direction of the organization’s IT infrastructure while managing and mitigating risks associated with technology and information systems. This role combines deep technical expertise with a focus on GRC to ensure that IT services are reliable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Position Description
- Lead and manage the IT operations team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT department.
- Develop and implement IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Oversee the procurement of IT equipment, software, and services.
- Optimize resource allocation to meet current and future IT needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to IT operations.
- Implement robust security measures to protect company data and IT assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues that arise.
- Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring the organization can quickly recover from disruptions and continue critical operations.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of IT operations and services, using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Understand the company’s business model and objectives, and develop strategies to contribute to its success
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in IT strategy, planning, and governance roles, with a track record of success in a senior leadership role.

- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
