NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking an
Director of IT – Vendor Management to join our client’s team in
Tampa, FL. This is a
hybrid, direct hire position.
SALARY: $130-$180K + bonus (depending on experience)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or PMP are preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a director-level role focused on vendor management.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments, preferably in the technology or services sector.
- Proven experience as an IT Director or in a similar leadership role, managing IT infrastructure, application development, cybersecurity, and support services.
- Demonstrable experience managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Deep technical knowledge across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, application development, and desktop support.
- Strong understanding of IT best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and partners in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for IT infrastructure, application development, and cybersecurity. Establish strong relationships with partners and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Develop, negotiate, and enforce SLAs with IT partners. Continuously monitor performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity partners to ensure proactive threat monitoring, incident response, and risk management strategies are implemented and followed.
- Oversee the development and deployment of business applications, ensuring alignment with business needs and the delivery of robust, scalable solutions.
- Ensure reliable IT infrastructure (servers, networks, etc.) is maintained, with minimal downtime and maximum performance.
- Ensure all end-user support services (such as helpdesk and technical support) are efficiently managed, leading to high levels of user satisfaction.
- Analyze performance metrics and feedback from internal teams to identify areas for improvement in IT services and recommend innovative solutions.
