Job Description
This is a unique opportunity for a talented, driven individual to participate as a key member of the Rheem Air Distribution Leadership Team. You will work on projects to address key strategic initiatives that will build synergies and transform Rheem Air Distribution into an industry-leading organization.
The role will include opportunities to influence a diverse group of leaders across multiple geographies to enhance their performance while respecting the unique history and culture that has defined each organization. This leader will need to mesh strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills along with a complete understanding of HVAC distribution principals to deliver industry-leading results.
This position can be based Texas, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey, in which Rheem operates its distribution network. This position will report directly to the VP/GM of Rheem Air Distribution with support and collaboration from Rheem’s global IT team.
Responsibilities
- Technology Roadmap Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a cohesive vison for each distributorship that aligns with Rheem’s overall business objectives.
- System integration into Rheem’s platforms that ensure security, compliance, performance, reliability, and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT teams within the businesses to foster a data-driven culture and promoting the use of data in decision-making across the organization.
- Lead the business integration roadmap, ensuring fit at the individual distributors and markets they are in.
- Work with Rheem Enterprise IT team to align on the technology roadmap and strategy
- Technology Advocate, Innovation & Modernization
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and work to implement them into the roadmap and strategy.
- Ensure understanding of new technologies within the industry and throughout Rheem.
- Ensure systems are modernized to provide new benefits and capabilities to the businesses and customers
- Evaluate, document, and recommend best practices for core business processes includes but not limited to warranty processing, credit automation, procurement streamlining, E-commerce adoption, phone system harmonization, and sales support
- Technical Collaboration
- Collaborate with executive leadership, and senior technology leads across the organization.
- Lead cross-functional teams in solving complex business problems and coordinate work streams of strategic projects to include identification and implementation of purchasing synergies and ERP system utilization.
- Work collaboratively across organizations to help secure commitment for distribution efforts
- Demonstrate influencing skills in a team setting including extended teams where members are not direct reports
- Business Process & Controls
- Develop processes that assist in the financial controls of each business unit including inventory systems and cycle counting processes
- Provide comprehensive assessments of current infrastructure, enterprise software, and integration capabilities via automated tools, cloud computing, and software-as-a-service solutions to reduce complexity, optimize agility, and manage costs more effectively.
- Building effective teams
- Ability to take a group of people and transform them into an effective and efficient team that fosters trust and confidence with internal customers.
- Business Mergers & Acquisition
- Assist with the analysis of new acquisition opportunities and lead key elements of these integrations.
- Industry
- Analyze industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities, and internal performance
- Participate in industry user groups and groups within the HVAC industry
Qualifications
- 10+ years in IT experience with large integrated projects or equivalent combinator of education and experience
- 5+ years of professional experience with strong HVAC distribution experience
- Previous management of a Prophet21 environment, familiarity with NetSuite is a plus
- Strong understanding of building networks, API integration, EDI, web development, and CRM are essential.
- Ability to structure and solve complex business problems, develop a defensible thesis supported by relevant data to influence stakeholders
- Prior experience leading development projects, strategic planning and resource management, and implementation of large-scale applications
- Proven successful experience working with vendors ensuring they deliver based on development and delivery requirements outlined.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to creatively and effectively design and present information including the development of executive-level content
- Experience working with technical leaders and SMEs with achieving delivery of major projects or functionality with a high degree of quality and meeting expectations, including working hands-on with delivery and vendor teams on triaging and resolving issues/process blockers both pre- and post-production.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic team environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and adapt to new challenges and ideas
- Strong relationship builder with a highly collaborative and proactive attitude
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint
