Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional helpdesk support and respond promptly to user inquiries regarding computer hardware and software.
- Ensure timely resolution of all support tickets in alignment with defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Deliver second-tier support to IT technicians by developing and maintaining documentation for common issues.
- Escalate complex technical challenges to the IT Supervisor when necessary.
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, security, and reliability.
- Install and configure network hardware, software, and applications such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the network.
- Troubleshoot network issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Monitor network traffic and capacity, providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Assist with mobile device support and offer guidance on effective use of Office 365 for Android and iPhones.
- Manage and secure system backups, ensuring reliability in restoration capabilities.
- Conduct end-user training on effective utilization of Office 365 and other IT systems.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP).
- Proficiency with network routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices, including intrusion detection and firewalls.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, complemented by relevant certifications.
- 3-5 years of experience in network administration or a related IT discipline.
- Alternatively, a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of network administration experience, along with relevant certifications or coursework.
