Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst will assist in protecting NBU hardware, software and networks from cyber threats. They will also develop, monitor, report, and implement security software/systems that meet regulatory and industry requirements that support NBU policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage in a rigorous cybersecurity professional training and development program, including the acquisition of key industry certifications
- Identify, research, and report on security threats to Information Technology (IT) and Operational
Technology (OT) systems
- Implement and maintain security controls on IT and OT systems
- Security analysis of IT and OT assets
- Conduct periodic audits to detect security violations and deviations from established procedures
- Monitor security appliances and tools to protect company hardware, software, and networks from cyberattacks and unauthorized access
- Perform vulnerability scans; analyze results and develop plans to remediate
- Respond to and investigate security alerts and breaches
- Support incident response efforts as directed
- Create digestible security status and vulnerability reports using various tools
- Ensure security software is current and deployed to end-user devices
- Assist in developing security policies, checklists, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure end-point security applications clients are up to date
- Work closely in collaboration with IT, OT, and business stakeholders on cross-functional teams
- Translate technical jargon to business language
- Stay current on governing agency and compliance requirements including CISA, NERC, WaterISAC, etc
- Create and improve documentation that improves the maturity of the cybersecurity program
- Assist with physical security initiatives as directed
- Participate in on-call rotation – some evenings and weekends are expected

Formal Education And Work Experience Requirements
Degree/Diploma Obtained: Associates
Work Experience Time Frame: Zero to Five Years
Field of Study: Computer Science or Cyber Security

CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISA, and other certifications are preferred.
