Position Overview:
The Director of Information Technology will work closely with the leadership team, faculty, and staff to enhance and manage the Education center technology strategy, aligning it with both immediate and long-term goals. This role focuses on integrating advanced technologies that enhance teaching, learning, and administrative functions. The Director will provide expert technical leadership and strategic direction to the IT department, working collaboratively with academic leaders to integrate technology into the curriculum effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and guide the IT and Audiovisual team to support the School mission and technological goals.
- Technology Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and management of all IT infrastructure, including servers, wired and wireless networks, devices, software, and security systems.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology roadmap with clear timelines, benchmarks, and reviews, aligning with the school’s broader strategic objectives.
- Policy Development: Create and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for IT operations, ensuring consistent and efficient technology use across the organization.
- Asset and Budget Management: Administer technology purchasing, manage assets, and develop and oversee the annual IT budget, including grant management and implementation.
- Technical Support: Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues, providing timely and effective solutions for faculty, staff, and students.
- Network Optimization: Ensure optimal network performance, including server maintenance, bandwidth management, and cybersecurity measures to protect data integrity and system uptime.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Manage backup processes and disaster recovery plans to secure critical information and maintain business continuity.
- Vendor Relations: Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors, suppliers, and consultants to secure the best service and technology solutions for the school.
- Cybersecurity: Implement a robust cybersecurity framework, including firewalls, data protection measures, and regular security audits to safeguard Education center data.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with academic staff to effectively integrate technology into classroom environments, supporting innovative teaching and learning practices.
- Community Engagement: Ensure accessible and user-friendly technology resources for the school community, setting policies for support and usage.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, system development, and technology operations, with a preference for experience in educational settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience managing complex IT systems, including servers, networking, and security infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of successfully managing IT staff and fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage budgets and make strategic technology decisions.
- Preferred certifications include PMP, CCNA, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, and relevant project management and cybersecurity credentials.
- Proficiency with a wide range of technologies, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Windows Servers, Apple devices, Blackbaud, and advanced networking environments.
