JOB SUMMARY:
Develops and maintains strategic level of operations business knowledge and business critical projects, support and services. Aligns objectives around the Vinyl Operations business unit. Responsible and accountable for success across the Vinyl Operations enterprise. Drives enterprise technology standards for the Vinyl Operations division. Develops, manages, and executes a prioritization plan that provides information and communication services for all stakeholders involved. Facilitates full use of technology to achieve and maintain a competitive business advantage. Responsible for the identification, development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures which support enterprise success. Many of these processes (documentation, change processes, implementation processes, checklists, SOP’s) are critical in mitigating the risk to the business of making IT business systems changes. Develops the inputs/outputs that drive operational metrics consistent with and supportive of corporate and divisional strategic objectives and goals. Manages resources, priorities and projects across multiple Information Technology and business sub-teams.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with business partners in identifying initiatives and implementing systems that support their strategic objectives.
- Provides input on long term business application direction and strategy to the IT and functional leadership teams.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving communications and long-standing relationships with key stakeholders within the business, vendors and consulting contracts.
- Insures optimization of IT resources and solutions to drive efficiency and value.
- Responsible for the identification, development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures which support business objectives and internal/external customer satisfaction, where applicable in relation to this position. It is an expectation to foster a culture of continuous improvement and risk mitigation. Other processes are focused on efficient application of our resources towards achieving business goals.
- Responsible for providing the Information Technology (IT) personnel the tools to perform their jobs in a professional manner and providing objectives so the personnel are aware of what is expected of them. Responsible for recommending needed education and development opportunities for IT personnel. Keeps the IT personnel informed on business and area changes and remains sensitive to their needs and problems.
- Use knowledge of applications to ensure that all changes and projects are implemented consistent with long term directions of overall direction of applications.
- Responsible for enabling the data necessary for their customers to make business decisions. Ensure that information is available timely and is easy to access in order to allow their customers the opportunity to make the best decisions possible. Provide ongoing interpretation of the information and provide guidance on use of data.
- Responsible for:
- Developing processes and applications to support the productivity goals of Operations.
- Developing systems that improve operations ability to make critical decisions.
- Developing Vinyl Operations IT team members
- Implementation and accountability to the best practice IT standards
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly manages the activities of IT team members supporting the Vinyl Operations business. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsibilities outside of normal business hours: On-call rotation as assigned. Support for implementations of projects assigned will occur on weekends.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer or related field (MIS or Computer Science or equivalent). 10+ years experience across multiple disciplines. Acknowledged industry expert to bridge gap across technical expertise & teams.

- Technical/functional skills: Understanding of the ERP Applications & Databases, Pella developed supply chain systems, flow of data through the Pella Systems. PowerBI, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
- Certifications or licenses: None
- Travel expected: Up to 25% of time
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
