KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Chief Information Security Officer for KPMG US; develop, implement and evolve a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security program and related internal controls to ensure that the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information and data is owned, controlled or processed by the organization
- Monitor the external threat environment for emerging threats and advise relevant stakeholders on the appropriate courses of action; manage security incidents and events to protect corporate technology assets, including intellectual property, regulated data and the firm's reputation; operate all services for cybersecurity monitoring, response, assessment, testing and remediation for KPMG in order to protect the brand, secure proprietary data and secure operations while minimizing business impact and disruption due to incidents
- Collaborate with other leaders across Enterprise Security, who are focused on physical security, insider risk, compliance, resilience and business operations to shape an integrated approach to safety and security topics across the firm; engage with the Chief Digital Officer, and Chief Privacy and Confidentiality Officer, as well as Chief Technology Officers in each line of business and KPMG International to drive business and protect digital assets; work with Risk Management, OGC and Internal Audit to establish and maintain a control environment within a mature three lines of responsibility model
- Manage security aspects of strategic firm investments, such as AI-enabled automation technology, to protect the firm's assets while enabling business agility and growth; actively contribute to firm information security policies and participate on firm Crisis Management teams for cyber and technology incidents
- Lead all resource management for the cyber security program, including staff management and financial management; take responsibility for a large team of security professionals and provide apparently performance and career management to drive accountability; develop and execute comprehensive financial plans to meet the security needs of the firm
- Provide regular reporting on the current status of the information security program to enterprise risk teams, senior business leaders and the board of directors as part of a strategic enterprise risk management program
Qualifications:
- Minimum fifteen years of recent experience leading complex information security programs in Federated IT environments; experience leading security within a regulated industry, government or law enforcement
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred; industry-relevant cyber security certifications (CISSP) are highly desirable
- Strong technical background spanning all security domains, with an emphasis on defense, architecture, and advanced security assessment techniques (penetration testing and red teaming); ability to understand emerging technologies and how to evolve a security program to handle them
- Ability to autonomously make decisions of the highest complexity; demonstrated experience making risk tradeoff decisions about the cyber security posture of the firm's IT capabilities, determining whether they are sufficiently secure to enable business operations and justifying that position to business leadership; ability to display high adaptability and steadiness in performance during change and effectively pass on the information down the line to department for smoother execution
- Executive experience to direct, motivate and empower others to work towards the organization's goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple functions; lead and ensure execution of strategic initiatives for the organization; ability to address emerging opportunities and how organization should be organized/staffed to realize them
- Demonstrated experience in strategy and solution delivery, developing enterprise approaches to ensure products are delivered in a secure manner; experience leading change management activities to implement new security approaches across large, enterprise cybersecurity programs
- Adept at communicating highly technical matters to a variety of audiences, including technical and non-technical audiences as well as executive leadership; exceptional collaboration, negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
- This role is a remote work opportunity; candidates must be able to perform work during the Eastern or Central time zones regular business hours
