Position Summary
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a
Security Operations Coordinator responsible for the coordination of the daily security operations, including but not limited to vendor management, invoicing, guard schedules, reconciliations of various reports, development of budgetary plans, coordination, and implementation of these plans; and provide management with budget and expenditure updates. Insure that the department, is operating in a cost-effective manner. Document and record in security database system all security-related instances that occur at their place of employment, including security breaches, drills, and accidents.
This role will require 4-5 days in-person at the NYC office.
Job Responsibilities
- Helps develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Create and maintain security reports
- Monitor user access activities and assist in enforcing access control policies
- Assist with the implementation of new security technologies
- Contributes towards the smooth running of the team
- Train users on security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with policies
- Attends meetings to provide or obtain information
- Obtains, compiles, organizes, and prepares information and data for various reports meetings, agendas
- Ensuring information packages are complete and meet guidelines for submittal
- Coordinates special administrative projects as assigned to include assigning work, providing project information
- Supports project objectives, and prepares final report
- Reviews expense reports for completeness/submits for reimbursement
- Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate Sr. Security Manager or their representative.
Qualifications For Position
Your qualifications and experience should include: - Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a coordinator/administrator role preferred
- Experience in security preferred
- Knowledge of security protocols
- Knowledge of budget and finance tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Suite.
- Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communications skills.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great attention to detail.

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
