Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Network Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Waltham, MA. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to engage in both in-house and field support, providing high-level customer assistance to our clients.
The ideal candidate will work primarily from our office, with a blend of remote and on-site responsibilities, ensuring optimal network performance and user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level II Network Support to clients, leveraging best-practice troubleshooting techniques and remote access tools.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to resolve trouble tickets efficiently and fulfill requests.
- Oversee client network performance, backup, and archiving through applications such as Opmanager and Continuum.
- Manage case management systems, ensuring accuracy and currency of tickets.
- Participate in on-site field engineering assignments as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Servers, Virtualization, Networking, Firewalls, and Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange Messaging Server, Office365, and networking principles.
- Experience with ticketing and CRM systems (Salesforce, Spiceworks, Continuum, etc.).
- Strong multitasking abilities and effective prioritization of client issues.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant hands-on experience in installation and management of IT systems.
- Technical certifications in areas such as HPeE, Aruba Networks, Microsoft Server, or AWS are highly desired.
- Experience with service tickets and network monitoring systems is a plus.
