JOB DESCRIPTION:
One of the world's largest automotive retailers is looking to bring on a Cloud Engineer for a 6 month contract to hire role. The Cloud engineer will generally be responsible for the architecture, reliability, security, cost, operations, integration, and governance of the enterprise cloud platform. This team will focus on providing shared engineering services support and, as a contributor, this individual processes support requests, executes sprint work and operational tasks in our shared services efforts supporting partner teams.
Responsibilities:
• Enterprise grade cloud infrastructure engineering and deep understanding of infrastructure management principles • Primary responsibility for engineering, deploying and supporting solutions on the Azure platform
• Identity management – User, Managed Service, Service principals
• Terraform centered infrastructure management
• Curation of expansion through careful adherence to the Enterprise Cloud Adoption Framework and Landing Zone principals.
• Development, implementation and monitoring of security postures that adhere to corporate policy and standards • Support and technical guidance of the DevOps activities of Development teams
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 6+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineering or Cloud Architecture role or System's Engineering role
• 4+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience. Architecting, deploying and managing Azure based solutions
• 4+ years of hands-on Terraform experience deploying, maintaining, and governing modules
