POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for oversight of the team providing reporting and developing strategic insights. This role will interact and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand the impact of analysis across multiple areas of the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan reporting, integration, and other data related projects.
- Manage BI product backlog to ensure all tasks are completed according to budget.
- Performs on-going data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standard reporting, while maintaining the integrity of the data.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse / data lakehouse and semantic data models.
- Use statistical and predictive methods to perform analysis on large data sets to find useful relationships and provide data insights.
- Manage data pipelines from multiple data sources.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for corporate data.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling and analyzing large data sets to successfully drive conclusions.
- Strong skills in visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Strong Excel skills. Must be comfortable analyzing large quantities of data utilizing Excel, creating complex models.
- Experience using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI Paginated Reports preferred.
- Strong SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL query skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to draw insights and recommendations from analysis and present proposals to internal stakeholders.
- Ability to combine data from multiple sources into simple, coherent reports, ideally in an automated way.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with the Kanban framework a plus.
- Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
