We are looking for The Vice President of the NAFTA Region for Teklas, who will be able to travel at least 30% between America and Mexico, to lead Teklas' operations in Aguascalientes. The Vice President of the NAFTA Region for Teklas will be responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and business development activities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role will ensure the successful execution of regional objectives and align them with global business strategies. The VP will focus on enhancing supply chain operations, optimizing regional manufacturing, and driving revenue growth in the NAFTA market.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Leadership:
- Lead and manage all operations across the NAFTA region, including manufacturing plants, supply chains, and sales activities.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve financial goals, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction within the region.
- Collaborate with global executive leadership to align regional operations with overall corporate objectives.
Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and other key players in the North American automotive industry.
- Drive growth strategies that focus on expanding market presence and diversifying the product portfolio in the NAFTA region.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies tailored to the specific dynamics of the US, Canadian, and Mexican markets.
Operations & Supply Chain Optimization:
- Oversee supply chain management, production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective operations.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regional regulations, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the regional budget to ensure profitability and cost control.
- Analyze regional financial data and market trends to inform decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure transparent financial reporting and adherence to corporate policies.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build and lead high-performing teams across multiple sites in the NAFTA region.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across the regional organization.
- Mentor and develop key talent, ensuring succession planning and long-term organizational sustainability.
Regulatory & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements across all operations in the NAFTA region.
- Manage risk related to regional trade policies, tariffs, and potential supply chain disruptions.
- Monitor and anticipate changes in NAFTA-specific regulations that may impact the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within the automotive or related manufacturing industry, with a focus on North American operations.
- In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly in the NAFTA region, including familiarity with trade agreements, regional supply chains, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence, profitability, and business growth across multiple countries.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, particularly with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Fluency in English (Spanish proficiency is highly desirable for Mexico operations).
- Experience managing large, diverse teams and multi-site operations.
