Miraval Austin is seeking an Integrative Wellbeing Specialist to deliver wellbeing experiences through metaphysical modalities/practices through lectures, workshops, private sessions and group experiences.
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Integrative Wellbeing & Director of Integrative Wellbeing Integrative Wellbeing Specialist is accountable for facilitating Integrative Wellbeing programming in the form of workshops and lectures as well as providing one-on-one consultation services to help Miraval guests discover balance and nurture wellbeing through metaphysical practices. Essential Functions:
- Provide a variety of lectures, workshops and classes for Miraval guests
- Provide one-on-one guest consultations on lifestyle issues
- Maintain materials used in the facilitation of these programs
- Develop new curriculum, as well as manages changes and improvements to existing programs based on current research
- Participate in department meetings
- Keep availability up to date according to departmental standards
- Manage attendance numbers for facilitated classes
- Participate in additional Miraval programs as needed
- Must be able to respond to a wide variety of individual guest needs in the areas of lifestyle management:
- be familiar with health and wellness issues and be able to respond appropriately
- be familiar with community, national and international resources for a variety of guest needs
- be able to relate empathically and helpfully to individual guests
- be able to meaningfully facilitate groups and workshops
- possess good communication and public speaking skills
- understand, practice and model mindfulness
- Fulfills marketing requests (i.e.: article requests, blog posts, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Polished and professional physical presentation, appropriate for brand representation
- Computer proficiency
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Impeccable service skills with keen ability to foster and grow client relationships
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in integrative health and wellness focused programs, preferably in a spa or resort setting.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in independent practice and/or facilitating groups
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- A bility to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
- A bility to respond effectively and empathically to sensitive guest issues and complaints
- A bility to write reports, lectures and articles
- A bility to create and give clear, concise presentations
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
