Nasdaq’s Finance & Workplace Department is formalizing a Project Management Organization. The AVP, PMO will lead a team of project managers to drive goal setting and execution of highly complex projects. The position will work collaboratively bringing together the Finance & Workplace organization with departments across Nasdaq to successfully execute complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Drive the Finance Leadership Team and department heads thru in the annual goal setting process in collaboration with the People team
- Oversee the execution of all goals and drive success across the Finance & Workplace organization
- Use Monday.com, Jira, Confluence and other project management tools to prioritize and run highly complex projects across a wide set of stakeholders
- Projects may include but are not limited to technology implementation/enhancement/upgrade, acquisition integration, process re-engineering, and data development/analysis
- Initiate and lead certain project planning activities such as scope definition, stakeholder identification, risk & issue management, and communications
- Lead large groups of stakeholders from departments across the organization to successfully complete complex projects
- Lead a team of project managers and manage their development and career progression
- Other project management duties as needed
Qualifications
- BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant working experience leading complex financial management and technology projects
- Experience working with finance, accounting and project management technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft office software
- Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
- Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to executive leadership
- Experience with robotics processing automation, machine learning, or AI tools, is a plus
- Project management certification is a plus
- Have a general understanding of corporate finance ecosystems
