Suntex is a highly scalable hospitality-focused recreational marina company, operating the most iconic marinas in the industry. We are seeking a leader to be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all third-party and internally managed IT infrastructure.
The Infrastructure Manager will lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, establish and mature ITIL processes, and provide superior support to our growing organization. With exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise, you will effectively work “hands on” with technical teams, vendors, and business users to ensure successful project implementations and on-going operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Infrastructure Services:
- Enhance and maintain a secure network, and camera footprint across all our marinas.
- Oversee the administration of Microsoft Active Directory, M365, and overall Microsoft Suite.
- Optimize our 100% cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Collaborate closely with key vendors ensuring alignment with our technology strategy.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Support and Change Control Services:
- Provide exceptional support for end users by meeting SLA's (monthly), building our knowledge base, and removing root causes of systemic issues.
- Develop and manage IT change control processes.
- Assist with on-going compliance (e.g., PCI, SOX, CCPA) improvement efforts.
Vendor Relationship Management:
- Evaluate new vendor offerings and technologies to ensure they align with our technology and business strategies.
- Assist with negotiating renewals and new vendor relationships and effectively manage their services.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop training and growth opportunities for team members.
Strategic Collaboration:
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives.
- Respond with the agility required to address changing business priorities.
Budget and Invoice Management:
- Effectively budget, forecast, and manage operating expenses continuously looking for opportunities to leverage expenses as the company grows.
- Manage monthly invoicing and our internal marina allocation processes.
- Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure requests.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor and continuously improve infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
- Provide regular reports to IT leadership team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven infrastructure management experience, with experience in a 100% cloud-based environment; experience in acquisitions of new locations preferred.
- 3+ years of team leadership experience.
- 3+ years of experience with M365, Cisco-Meraki, On-Prem AD, and telecommunications (primarily AT&T, Office@Hand), especially for remote locations.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Certified Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900), MCSE, Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Admin (SC-300), and/or ITIL; PCI, SOX, and IS0 27001 compliance experience are a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, coaching, and team development.
- Team player who can succeed through collaboration and working with other internal and external organizations.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft AD, InTune, BitLocker, and Okta preferred.
- Experience with leveraging regional low voltage, fiber, and physical infrastructure vendors to install cabling, network components, cameras, poles, gates, and other gear.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Monday.com, Planner).
- Typical road mapping, budgeting, vendor negotiation/cost optimization, forecasting, and invoice management.
- Comfortable presenting to both business and technical audiences.
- Ability to communicate and report incidents and issues to senior management.
- Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is a hybrid position, with minimum 3-4 days a week at the home office (Dallas).
- Must be able to travel on occasion.
- Working conditions vary from sitting, sedentary desk work to most of the workday on your feet, if on-site and traveling.
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
