Position Overview
The Quoting Specialist is responsible for preparing and managing accurate and competitive quotations for customers based on their requirements. This role involves collaborating with various departments such as sales, procurement, and operations to ensure timely and effective delivery of quotes. The Quoting Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the sales process and contributing to customer satisfaction and company profitability.
This position will be located at the Corporate Center for Wanzl North America (WNA) in Denver NC.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare Accurate Quotes:
- Analyze customer requirements and specifications to develop detailed and accurate quotes.
- Utilize pricing models and cost estimation techniques to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Consider factors such as materials, labor, delivery timelines, and other relevant costs in quote preparation.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor quotes accordingly.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain departments to obtain accurate cost information.
- Liaise with production and operations teams to verify feasibility and delivery schedules.
- Maintain Documentation and Records:
- Ensure all quotes are documented properly and stored in the company’s database/system.
- Update and maintain pricing databases and templates regularly.
- Track and follow up on submitted quotes, updating status as needed.
- Analyze and Review Pricing Strategies:
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve pricing models and quotation processes.
- Participate in regular reviews to assess quote success rates and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure Compliance and Accuracy:
- Verify that all quotes comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
- Double-check all calculations and details to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and revisions related to quotations.
- Support Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the quoting process.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on best practices and industry developments.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new tools and systems for quote management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quoting, pricing analysis, sales support, or a similar role.
- Experience within retail solutions is preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with CRM and ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to make informed decisions.
- Understanding of cost estimation and pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with market research and data analysis.
