Junior Network Engineer

Job Description:
Assist with network infrastructure maintenance and troubleshooting while also providing C- Level support and managing AV equipment for meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities
Network Support:
· Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
· Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
· Monitor network performance and availability, responding to network incidents and alerts in a timely manner.
· Help with maintaining and managing LAN/WAN environments and network security protocols.
· Assist in implementing network changes, upgrades, and patches under the guidance of senior network engineers.
Desktop Support:
· Provide tier 1 and 2 desktop support for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
· Assist in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows, macOS) and applications.
· Perform PC/laptop setup, user account management, and peripheral device support (printers, scanners, etc.).
· Maintain accurate records of issues, changes, and resolutions through ticketing systems.
· Provide training and assistance to users for common desktop issues and software usage.
AV Systems Support:
· Set up, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment for meetings, presentations, and events, ensuring smooth operation.
· Provide technical support for AV systems, including projectors, video conferencing, speakers, microphones, and digital displays.
· Troubleshoot and resolve AV connectivity and performance issues during live events and meetings.
· Maintain an inventory of AV equipment, ensuring all systems are in working condition and properly stored.
Key Qualifications:
· 1-2 years of experience in IT, with a focus on networking, desktop support, or AV technology.
· Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and networking equipment (routers, switches).
· Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems and desktop troubleshooting.
· Experience setting up and troubleshooting AV equipment, including video conferencing systems.
· Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
· CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, or similar certifications.
· Experience with network monitoring tools and systems.
· Knowledge of basic networking concepts such as VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
