Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead our innovative technology initiatives within a mission-oriented educational setting. Key Responsibilities
- Direct the management of the technology infrastructure, encompassing data management systems, network architecture, and IT support services.
- Enhance cybersecurity measures and implement comprehensive data protection strategies in partnership with external consultants.
- Formulate and enforce IT policies to safeguard digital resources and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers, overseeing contract negotiations and partnership management.
- Work closely with the assistant director of educational technology to articulate and promote a clear vision for integrating technology that supports students with learning disabilities.
- Act as a project manager and consultant for significant technology projects across the department and school.
- Assess and incorporate new technologies to improve the technological ecosystem.
- Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to align technology strategies with campus-wide and departmental needs.
- Design and lead technology training initiatives for faculty and staff.
- Oversee the IT department, guiding a committed team of nine while managing the recruitment, development, and retention of technology professionals.
- Collaborate with the CFO to optimize the technology budget and resource utilization.
- Report directly to the head of school and undertake additional responsibilities as required.

- Proven experience in managing substantial IT/IS program components in an enterprise context, ideally within educational or nonprofit sectors.

- Awareness of the specific technology needs and organizational nuances within a multi-campus independent school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; advanced studies in information systems or related fields are advantageous.
- Minimum of seven years' experience leading technology departments and supervising personnel.
- Demonstrated capability to facilitate organizational change and implement staff development strategies aligned with overarching goals.
- Experience in designing and implementing technology infrastructures for new facilities and retrofitting existing systems.
