Job Title: PeopleSoft Specialist(CAPPS)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Location: Onsite in Austin, TX
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft specialist with a strong focus on CAPPS (Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System) implementation and support to work on-site with our Austin, Texas client initially, and then 1 day/month long term. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain, HCM, and ELM applications, with particular emphasis on CAPPS modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage technical and development efforts for CAPPS implementations, upgrades, and integrations
Analyze and design solutions to bridge gaps when migrating from legacy systems to CAPPS
Facilitate collaboration between CAPPS and other internal applications
Assist with data conversion from legacy systems to CAPPS HCM and CAPPS Financials
Plan and coordinate labor distribution processes for federally funded and site-specific employees
Develop custom queries, reports, and reporting universes to meet business needs
Provide post-implementation production support for CAPPS HCM and Financials
Design and implement interfaces using PeopleSoft Integration Broker
Develop and modify PeopleSoft processes, including PO Dispatch and Bid Analysis
Create and maintain BI Publisher and nVision reports
Perform SQL performance tuning and troubleshooting
Lead technical design and development activities during design and build phases
Implement and customize Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) processes
Design and develop enterprise integrations using messaging, web services, and transformations (XML, XSL, REST & SOAP)
Support eProcurement Direct Connect Punchout implementations
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in implementing PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain, HCM, and ELM applications
Strong knowledge of CAPPS modules and their integration
Proven experience in PeopleSoft upgrades, particularly versions 8.8 through 9.2
Expertise in PeopleSoft technical tools and development methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in SQR, People Code, Application Engine, and Integration Broker
Experience with BI Publisher and nVision reporting
Familiarity with XML, XSL, REST, and SOAP for integration purposes
Knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning
Experience in developing conversion programs and interfaces
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with government agencies or public sector organizations
Familiarity with Texas state government systems and processes
Previous experience with CAPPS implementations or support
Knowledge of PeopleSoft security and workflow configurations
