Job Description
This position serves as the IT Strategy Section Manager responsible for providing efficient and timely support to agency-wide bureau business sections pertaining to the completion of a variety of projects ranging between large-scale agency initiatives, new technology implementations, Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) mandates, and existing system/program enhancements. The IT Strategy Section Manager will aid the various LARA bureaus by thoroughly coordinating and facilitating these initiatives, while also acting as project oversight and governance between the relevant bureau’s leadership, DTMB and all project necessary Subject Matter Experts attached to a given project. This position will be responsible for supporting agency enterprise applications. LARA bureaus have and are currently implementing enterprise applications resulting in the use of similar platforms throughout the department. The position will be responsible for developing and enforcing business best practices across all the different agencies using these platforms. These best practices will include areas such as security, release management, configuration, document storage and reporting. The position will be responsible for overseeing enterprise application contracts and will work with DTMB and the LARA bureaus to identify and prioritize all the outstanding work on these platforms. The position will be the agency expert contact with any current and future enterprise application vendors and provide advocacy for the individual bureaus with contract, licensing, and support issues.

Required Education And Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Alternate Education And Experience
Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
