Key Duties
- Design and architect network solutions for service providers, covering LAN, WAN, and data center environments to address both immediate and long-term needs.
- Engage with clients during the pre-sales phase to understand their technical requirements and budget and assist with preparing detailing BOM's and quotes for network and server components.
- Create and refine network diagrams to guide implementation processes.
- Implement and uphold robust security protocols to safeguard networks against cyber threats.
- Evaluate and project network capacity needs, planning for future growth and scalability.
- Oversee network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing to ensure efficiency, maximizing availability, and minimizing downtime.
- Resolve network issues swiftly and maintain thorough documentation of network systems.
- Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Use network monitoring tools to gather data and address performance and security issues proactively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or CISSP.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in network design, architecture, and administration.
- Experience with Linux systems preferred.
- Proficiency in managing Broadband Network Gateways is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols, security measures, and performance tuning.
