Senior Systems Administrator
Optomi, in partnership with one of our premiere clients, are seeking a Microsoft 365 SharePoint Administrator to oversee, manage, and serve as the lead technical support for our Microsoft 365 SharePoint infrastructure, applications, and Azure environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SharePoint configuration and management, alongside a deep understanding of both on-site and cloud environments.

Qualifications and Skills of the right candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Systems Management, with 5+ years of related work experience in developing, implementing, and supporting on-site and hosted environments (Windows Server 2019+, Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS).
- 10+ years of experience managing Windows environments with Active Directory, group policies, Microsoft 365 solutions, and authentication technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in SharePoint/Teams administration.
- Familiarity with Apple Business Manager for deploying and configuring macOS and iOS devices.
- In-depth knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and Cisco Meraki technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in IT vendor management, including SOWs, SLAs, and work order tracking.
- Strong project management skills related to infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and basic programming.
- Experience with Federal Government compliance (NIST, CMMC, FedRAMP) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent logical and analytical thinking skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint and Teams Administration:
- Manage architecture and configuration of multiple SharePoint Online site collections.
- Perform site collection administration and maintenance tasks.
- Develop and administer front-end solutions, including document management, automated workflows, and content management within site collections.
- Ensure seamless integration of SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Flow (Power Automate).
- Conduct audits for policy compliance and prepare reports on site usage.
- Maintain thorough documentation of SharePoint configuration and architecture.
- Recommend and support governance policies and procedures for SharePoint usage.
Systems Administration:
- Develop and maintain organizational systems and applications, including on-site Windows servers and cloud-based Microsoft 365 and Azure Environments.
- Oversee Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Management to secure and manage user deployments, apps, and endpoint devices.
- Manage Apple devices, ensuring effective hardware and software configurations.
- Create technical documentation for best practices related to server and cloud infrastructure and organizational hardware/software.
- Lead help desk operations, providing tier 2 and tier 3 support for escalated issues while ensuring comprehensive documentation of requests and actions.
- Conduct routine audits and manage monitoring and backups of all systems, networks, and software.
- Provide regular reports on security and compliance risks and alerts.
- Set up, install, and test software and hardware patches while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Mentor technical support staff in resolving common systems-related issues.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and consultants to enhance system-specific skills.
- Stay current with trends in computer software/hardware and operations.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
