Job Summary:
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure solutions, primarily leveraging Microsoft Azure. This role will play a pivotal part in driving the organization's cloud migration strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Azure Cloud Experience: Demonstrate an understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, patching, firewalls, networks, storage, security groups, and identity and access management.
- Cloud Migration: Assist in the planning and execution of cloud migrations to Azure, including assessing existing infrastructure and developing migration strategies.
- Azure Infrastructure Management: Manage Azure resources, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
- Azure Networking: Design and configure Azure networking components, such as virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and load balancers.
- Containerization: Familiarize yourself with Docker containers and Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications in a containerized environment.
- Hybrid Cloud Knowledge: Understand the concepts of hybrid cloud environments and how to integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure.
- On-Premises Infrastructure: Provide technical support for Colo data center and networking infrastructure, including servers, firewall, storage, and network devices.
- Helpdesk and Office Support: Assist the helpdesk team in resolving IT-related issues and provide support for Office 365, Mimecast, and Active Directory.
- IT Security: Adhere to IT security best practices and assist in ensuring compliance with security standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of Colo data center technologies (e.g., servers, storage, firewall, networking).
- Knowledge of helpdesk support and office applications (e.g., Office 365, Mimecast, Active Directory).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus
