Job Title: Senior Power BI Engineer
Location/ Work Structure: Hybrid schedule - Cincinnati Metro
Compensation: $100-120k + bonus

Vernovis is partnering with a rapidly growing client to bring on a Senior Power BI Engineer who will lead crucial efforts to enhance reporting and improve how the business leverages data for decision-making. This role is key in driving business-critical initiatives by utilizing Power BI to transform data into actionable insights, empowering the company to make more informed, data-driven decisions.

What You'll Do:
- Design and build scalable data models and reports to provide data-driven insights across various business areas, from sales to customer support.
- Monitor, maintain, and support analytics tools including Power BI, Power Query-enabled Excel workbooks, and Microsoft Power Apps.
- Collaborate with ERP and IT teams to understand the structure and flow of company data systems.
- Work with different departments to identify and address business data needs.
- Advise on information strategy and contribute to the development of the organization’s data roadmap.
- Ensure the business captures relevant data efficiently, aligned with both current and future business requirements.
- Maintain a balanced approach to data collection, ensuring it supports business operations without overwhelming teams.
What Experience You'll Have:
- 3-5 years of experience in analytics development and support.
- Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Software, Engineering, or Statistics.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI (including Power Query, DAX, M).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a project-based business or a highly configured product industry is a plus.
Nice to Have Experience:
- Netsuite ERP
- Microsoft Power Apps
- Azure Storage (Data warehousing such as Synapse)
- VBA (Supporting legacy Excel applications)
