Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a seasoned and proactive Vice President / Division Director to lead our strategic initiatives in the Federal Agency sector. This pivotal role will entail the identification and acquisition of new business opportunities while effectively managing capture efforts. A robust history of success in sales, capture, and operational management within the federal domain is a prerequisite. The position demands an engaged approach to business development and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business avenues, crafting and implementing capture strategies to secure targeted opportunities.
- Monitor government acquisition notices to align potential projects with our strategic capabilities and objectives.
- Foster and nurture relationships with government leaders to uncover and seize new client opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of prospects, assessing resource capabilities, teaming options, competitor strengths and weaknesses, along with budget and scheduling requirements.
- Lead the capture and proposal lifecycle for designated opportunities, ensuring a well-structured proposal development approach.
- Provide operational oversight and direct management for secured contracts, ensuring effective project execution.
- Identify and address any issues impacting project performance, escalating as necessary.
- Author proposals, white papers, standard operating procedures, and other pertinent documents.
- Deliver regular executive-level reports on the status of ongoing bids and pipeline opportunities.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of pertinent business development experience within the federal sector.
- Strong proficiency in the FAR, BPAs, IDIQ, contract vehicles, and the overall government contract lifecycle.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to problem-solve, innovate, and effectively market solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in leading the capture lifecycle, demonstrating a proven record of identifying and qualifying opportunities and managing successful proposals that generate new revenue.
- 5+ years of project and/or program management experience.
- Established pipeline based on existing client and partner relationships.
- A proactive, sales-oriented mindset.
