Description
We are seeking a skilled IT Desk Side Support Technician to join our dynamic team in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance to internal staff, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware and software systems that are critical to our energy production and management processes. This role involves troubleshooting, problem-solving, and supporting IT infrastructure in a high-demand environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues to end-users.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktop/laptop computers, printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including operating systems and application software.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure efficient and effective technology solutions are implemented.
- Document support activities, resolutions, and maintain accurate records of user requests.
- Assist in maintaining IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and related assets.
- Conduct regular system checks and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Train and guide users on best practices and efficient use of technology tools.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures, contributing to cybersecurity initiatives.
- Support IT projects and initiatives, including system upgrades and deployment of new technologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT support, preferably within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft O365 and Teams.
- Familiarity with network technologies and remote support tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- Office environment with occasional travel to remote sites.
- May require lifting and moving IT equipment.
- On-call availability for emergency support.
