Job Title: Network Engineer
Job Location: Cameron, LA
Job Type: 100% Onsite
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to be based at an LNG facility in Cameron, LA, to maintain functional and secure networks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a strong knowledge of network administration and architectures, and a passion for securing networks to protect systems and data.
### Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Network team, architects, and other departments on the design and deployment of functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and install network firewalls, switches, WAPs, and other network devices
- Monitor and support network performance and integrity
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both cloud and local network infrastructure
- Mentor team members on technical aspects of the network architecture
- Develop, oversee, and test standard operating procedures for daily tasks, projects, and disaster recovery
- Communicate with users when necessary
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams
- Recommend improvements for network performance, capacity, and scalability
### Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, or network management systems
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer, with a team-oriented mindset
- Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CCNP, CCDP)
- Strong background in network administration, security, and architectures
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, utilizing both experience and network diagnostic tools
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining networks at peak performance, fully documented, and managed within a change management system to ensure network security
