Job Summary: The IT Manager will oversee and manage systems & solutions, serving as a vital link between IT and business partners to realize objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT, people management, ERP systems, and a proven track record of leading successful IT projects. They will support and ensure the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of the software product’s features. This role works closely with business partners to evaluate the business problems, documenting capabilities needed to address evolving business needs. A significant focus will be on utilization and maximization of the ERP.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment and ensure activities align with organization goals and objectives.
- Identify, coach, and develop talent within the team, provide opportunities for learning, growth and clearly communicate job and performance expectations.
- Overseeing the planning, support, upgrades and maintenance of the ERP system. Tracking, analyzing, resolving issues and/or work with the business and vendor SMEs to determine work around steps.
- Manage relationships the ERP vendor and service providers, working to optimize and enhance systems.
- Build relationships with key leaders across the organization to expand understanding of various business functions challenges & opportunities to develop new or modify technology capabilities.
- Engage with colleagues/SMEs to obtain additional information during ideation and evaluate alternatives.
- Drive prioritization, resolution of system issues, enhancement requests and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare timeline and cost estimates for completing projects, including Cost-Benefit & ROI calculations.
- Set and manage expectations with business stakeholders, leading medium to high complexity initiatives, developing a timeline, scope, understanding project risks and assigning team members to specific tasks.
- Facilitate, develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development, user acceptance and quality assurance testing.
- Works across business teams and functions to define and develop reporting and dashboards to support business analytics and decision making.
- Monitor and document post-implementation problems, revision requests and facilitate lessons learned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing IT systems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing people, including performance assessment & career development.
- Proven experience and strong understanding of ERP systems and management.
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing and SaaS.
- Demonstrated experience in team building and collaboration with staff, peers, business leaders and 3rd parties.
- Excellent communication skills including both presentation and written skills.
- Proficient with project management, continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using IQMS.
ADA Requirements:
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 40 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
- Travel by air or car frequently
