Responsible for implementing, maintaining and administering company-wide hardware and software systems, maintaining system security at the highest level for our business and continued operations without interruption. This position will have Key Performance indicators and performance targets to achieve while managing internal customers in a manner that will contribute to our ability to achieve profitable long-term growth.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Critical Tasks – Corporate Systems Support (25%):
- Support department initiatives with critical review and feedback for new and ongoing technology, including Business Central 365, Power BI, Jet Reports, Microsoft365 (cloud-based productivity software), SharePoint, PocketAdvantage, other Third-Party integrations. Should include strong understanding of Microsoft and Azure administration.
- Manage all systems security (such as DarkTrace) and firewall software in conjunction with outside vendors and consultants.
- Provide network service and support for our VPN, server software updates, broadband access, licensing and maintenance contracts.
- Develop and maintain all systems, hardware, applications, security and network configurations.
- Develop and maintain system backup and disaster recovery plans and protocols.
- The position also manages the need for and use of an external back-up systems support vendor to be used for complex issues as well as time off coverage.
Research & Evaluate Technology (25%)
- Recommend system changes and upgrades for current operating systems, where appropriate to benefit Quintessential, providing supporting analysis for recommendations.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to support a long-term IT strategy for company growth.
- Stay up to date on current IT tools, developments, trends that may or do impact Quintessential’s current or future system configuration and tools.
User Support (25%)
- Setup, configure and support all business technology tools such as PCs and smart phones, iPads for sales team.
- Provide help desk support, and arrange for technology coverage when away from the office.
Contract Maintenance (15%)
- Establish application service level requirements (SLA) and standards.
- Monitor and negotiate existing and new contracts for all technology service providers (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) ensuring best practices, pricing and SLAs.
Miscellaneous (10%)
- Provide regular communication regarding the latest tips, tricks, technology and user trends as they apply to Quintessential resources and business needs.
- Code and process all equipment and technology invoices timely.
Minimum Qualifications
· Education/Experience: AA/BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field or a minimum of 4-6 years of Tech Support/System Administrator experience.
· Skills: Strong demonstrated leadership and team process skills. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and delegate tasks as appropriate. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to work successfully in partnership with employees at all levels with an emphasis on educating users to solve their own problems. Project management expertise, including the coordination and monitoring of projects in process. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
· Knowledge: Must be highly experienced in all Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Sharepoint, Azure Cloud Services and Exchange) as well as Windows 10/11. Strong knowledge of security software, WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi access point administration, hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience. Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information. Must be familiar with a variety of the Information Technology field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. ConnectWise or other ERP experience helpful.

Must be available to work some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays to perform system maintenance or resolve problems at times that will provide the least amount of disruption to users. Must have an acceptable driving record, and must have automobile liability insurance.
