Job Title:Sales Engineer

Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer I specializes in understanding all the technical aspects of the DQE product portfolio. and explaining them to potential consumers. The Sales Engineer I consults on product development, explaining product features to customers during live demonstrations. This role’s activities provide a direct source for our customer base and outside sales force to refer to for technical expertise and guidance for project & system design recommendations.
The candidate must be local to the Pittsburgh area. Hybrid work environment
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work
- Work with the customers and Engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements
- Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary
- Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery
- Establish customer rapport and acceptance
- Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands
- Help clients to solve problems with product usage
- Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Reliable technical background in Telecommunications
- Excellent understanding of our product portfolio, including but not limited to, Internet Services, SD-WAN, Voice & Unified Communications, SASE and Cybersecurity.
- Good marketing skills and business sense
- Ability to work with others as a team
- Ability to build client relationships easily
- Analytical ability and great problem-solving skills
- Presentation skills and ability to convey product value
- Self-confidence to support persuasion and sales efforts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to prepare reports and logs
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, experience in telecommunication or related field preferred
- Related telecommunication experience preferred
