The Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for administering and monitoring corporate infrastructure systems to ensure overall system integrity, security, stability and operational uptime. Core duties include infrastructure technologies, messaging systems, desktop management and other emerging technologies. Additional duties include providing Tier 2/3 end-user information systems support and participating in other technologies as needed such as servers, virtualization, network infrastructure or security platforms.
Position Responsibilities
- Participate in various infrastructure support programs including active directory, security (MDM, MFA, antivirus/EDR, web and spam filtering, and SIEM), desktop support and imaging, patch management, system backups, O365 and other infrastructure technologies within the corporate footprint
- Provide responsive, high-quality Tier 2/3 end-user support (on-site and phone)
- Monitor infrastructure services for optimal performance and security, providing recommendations for improvements as needed
- Triage and investigate system issues to determine root cause, apply appropriate remediation, and take proactive measures to prevent future occurrences
- Create and update policies, procedures, and overall infrastructure documentation
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Education, Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years supporting infrastructure technologies in a corporate environment
- Working knowledge of Windows server technologies, networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, wireless, VPN, RADIUS, etc.). Experience in SD-WAN is a plus
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Azure cloud
- Experience with PowerShell or Power Platform technologies
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems including Windows 11 and Office 365 applications and management
- Experience in automated desktop deployment processes
- Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of Information Technology and computer systems in a Microsoft environment
- Ability to comprehend business problems and needs, and understand their interrelationships with systems in order to recommend, design and implement effective, scalable solutions
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to provide optimal customer satisfaction
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn new applications and technologies
- Ability to take ownership of assigned projects, tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to travel as required to corporate facilities as needed
