The Role
The Vice President of Sales (VP of Sales) will lead the US sales organization, executing strategies to meet growth targets in alignment with the company’s overall objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of the beverage alcohol industry, including distributor relationships, channel management (on-premise and off-premise), and regulatory compliance. The VP of Sales will guide and develop a high-performing sales team, foster robust customer relationships, and drive revenue growth. Reporting to the COO, the VP of Sales will collaborate with the executive team to support business growth, market expansion, and maintain a competitive position in the industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Achieve US financial sales goals
- Oversee and optimize the US route to market
- Develop and manage sales forecasting processes
- Collaborate on FY AOP (Annual Operating Plan) planning
- Execute and adjust sales strategy
- Lead, motivate, and develop the US sales team
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the executive team to refine and execute the US sales strategy.
- Drive both brand and portfolio strategies that balance immediate and long-term growth objectives.
- Lead and scale the US commercial sales team to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Set sales targets, align performance incentives, and ensure compensation matches success metrics.
- Manage and optimize distributor relationships and the route to market, ensuring efficiency and growth.
- Build, coach, and sustain a high-performing sales team responsible for managing distributors, accounts, pricing, and programs.
- Collaborate with marketing to design customer engagement strategies for priority brands.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal departments (marketing, finance, logistics) and external partners, including brand owners and distributors.
- Track market trends and provide regular business updates, including insights into competitive activity.
- Drive expansion opportunities with national accounts and control states.
- Manage distributor and major customer programs, including pricing and promotions.
- Collaborate on budgeting processes across sales, marketing, and distributor activities.
- Support demand planning and logistics to ensure alignment with sales goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role within the beverage alcohol or CPG industry.
- Proven ability to manage accounts and distributor relationships within the beverage alcohol industry.
- Process-driven leadership style with experience building high-accountability teams.
- Deep understanding of the three-tier system and familiarity with industry data sources.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and develop actionable sales strategies.
- Innovative, forward-thinking approach to staying ahead of market trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Experience with EOS is a plus.

- Must have a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license
- Light lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling may be required
