This position works closely with a team focused on Active Directory, the clinical information system running on Windows-based platforms, its ancillary products, Citrix, enterprise backup/recovery, and other systems/applications that support Information Technology.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or other related field OR;
High School Diploma or equivalent
AND Four (4) years of experience in networking (Wintel platform)

Preferred Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare, or Epic CSM certifications preferred.
Experience
- Design and implementation of Physical and Virtual Enterprise and Windows Servers including IBM/Lenovo, HP, and Dell preferred.
- Design and implementation of complex Windows clusters preferred.
- Experience with enterprise storage, including the optimal design and implementation of Volume Groups, Logical Volumes and File Systems preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Exchange, SQL Server, SCEP, App-V, and other Microsoft infrastructure preferred.
- Experience with the design and implementation of a Clinical Information System and the requirements to maintain a secure data environment preferred.
- Experience with Citrix XenApp 6.5 and greater, Citrix Licensing, Storefront, Netscalar, Citrix infrastructure, and with publishing applications preferred.
- Experience with Windows Operating systems (Server 2012r2/2008r2, Windows 10/8.1/7) preferred.
- Experience with security software (McAfee AV, Windows Updates, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with VMWare, Veeam, and other virtual technologies preferred.
- Experience with a professional help desk support process preferred.

- Server Architecture and Operating System: Assist Network Analyst and Senior Network Analyst with installation, configuration and support of hardware and systems.
- Server Virtualization: Assists team in deploying virtual server devices using existing templates and specifications. Follows vendor/IT guidelines to request virtual device resources.
- Directory/User Management/Group Policy Management: Performs user/group management tasks. Identifies and documents processes for user management. Identifies and resolves issues regarding user access
- Application Delivery: Works with customers to identify, and report issues with application delivery. Works with customers to resolve issues with user access to delivered applications. Assists with managing user access to delivered applications
- Enterprise Messaging: Performs basic recipient management tasks for mailboxes and email groups. Identifies and documents issues with message delivery. Works with customers to resolve access to email.
- Systems Administration: Supports and documents applications in the environment that do not have dedicated support staff. Coordinates with users and departments to identify and document issues with application access and performance.
- Evaluation of Trending Technologies: Researches current information technology trends.
- Monitoring, Prevention, and Remediation: Reviews routine scans of hardware and software to identify security vulnerabilities. Monitors systems for irregular and unexpected behavior. Stays up to date to current IT Security trends and threats. Participates in remediation plans and follows identified steps to correct vulnerable systems. Maintain/analyze endpoint protection and application whitelisting. Performs first level email security response and analysis. Monitors SIEM application for abnormal behavior, vulnerabilities, IOCs, and unnecessary network events.
- Vulnerability Testing and Risk Mitigation: Participates in periodic testing of networks to identify vulnerabilities. Identifies and confirms vulnerabilities and reports findings to Analyst and Senior. Participates in simulated attacks on systems to highlight and identify weaknesses. Has knowledge of and can utilize resources (i.e.: firewalls, ID/IP hardware and software) to protect sensitive information. Participates in regularly scheduled internal and external penetration testing. Can identify the risk, threat level, and business impact of an event. Performs out of band network and vulnerability analysis of new acquisitions.
- Incident Response: Conducts technical and forensic investigations of security breaches. Compiles data and artifacts into root cause analysis form. Tracks and documents incidents from initial detection through final resolution. Works with senior team members to mitigate propagation of malware during a true security incident.
- Security Support: Educates customers on security issues, and how to protect their data. Responds to reported machine compromises. Develops awareness of well-known ports and associated vulnerabilities. Maintains appropriate documentation during investigations. Performs security daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
- Project Management: Completes tasks assigned by project manager. Communicates and documents all work associated with a project. Takes initiative to proactively participate in team interactions. Works with clients and customer to assess needs, provide information or assistance. Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information. Utilizes sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations. Thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail.
- Adheres to the established policies of the West Virginia United Health System (WVUHS) as well as the policies of the entity or entities where the IT team member is assigned to work and/or employed.
- Accepts on-call responsibilities and responds with action, either by phone call or on-site as defined by Department Policy.

This position will work closely with other teams and vendors to establish risk and compliance; this position will be responsible for conducting risk reviews of new and existing hardware, software, and other technologies; this position will be have responsibility for reporting and cataloging identified IT risks.
