Job Description:
We are looking for a Systems Administrator in the Chicagoland area to spearhead help desk operations, manage vendor relationships, and help maintain our hardware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing both physical and virtual hardware, overseeing vendor contracts and procurement, Endpoint Security and leading help desk functions to provide exceptional support. As a Systems Administrator, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our IT environment is secure, efficient, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for roughly 170 local and remote Omeda employees. Manage onboarding/offboarding of users, as well as the configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software, network printers, and scanners.
- Maintain RingCentral and Comcast Business phone systems at two office locations
- Manage the Microsoft 365 environment for entire company (user accounts, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, multifactor authentication, etc.)
- Software Purchasing, Installation and License Management; management of support agreements
- Maintain asset lists and inventories; manage recycling and secure disposal of obsolete equipment
- Provide additional as-needed support for the rest of the Systems team
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in Helpdesk support (Local & Remote)
- 3+ years’ experience in user workstation and laptop configuration, setup, and deployment
- Strong understanding of network concepts
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of general security concepts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- CCNA and/or A+ certification
- Familiarity with group policy
- Experience with security software and services such as Endpoint Protection, Windows Advanced Firewall, etc.
- Experience with RingCentral and or other Call Center phone systems
- Familiarity with the setup, transfer, and maintenance of toll-free and local phone numbers
