Contract-to-Hire Position
Location: Fully onsite in San Antonio, TX
Hourly Pay Rate: $55 - $65 on W2
Conversion Salary: Up to $115,000/year
We are seeking a talented Systems Analyst / Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This hybrid position is perfect for professionals with strong networking experience—particularly with Cisco, Meraki, and Arista—who are also interested in cloud networking and cybersecurity. You’ll work across both on-premises and cloud-based environments, including FCoE, Fibre Channel storage arrays, and VMware virtual switching, while utilizing cloud platforms like Azure/Entra. This role offers the chance to grow into systems architecture under the mentorship of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Engineering:
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco, Meraki, and Arista devices, FCoE networks, and Fibre Channel storage arrays. Administer VMware virtual switches and ensure secure, efficient network operations.
- Cloud Networking:
- Configure and manage cloud solutions (Azure/Entra), ensuring secure cloud integration, scalability, and optimal performance in hybrid environments.
- Cybersecurity:
- Develop and implement network security protocols, monitor traffic for vulnerabilities, and take corrective action to enhance network security.
- Systems Analysis & Support:
- Evaluate on-premises and cloud systems for efficiency, security, and scalability. Collaborate with IT teams to align solutions with business and security needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise with Cisco, Meraki, and Arista networking technologies.
- Hands-on experience with FCoE and Fibre Channel storage arrays.
- Proficiency in VMware virtual switches and cloud networking (Azure/Entra).
- Strong understanding of network security principles and a passion for cybersecurity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco CCNA or higher certification.
- Certification or hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.).
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting.
- Previous experience in systems architecture or analysis is a plus but not required.
