Job Description
As a Senior Engineer, Systems specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IAM policies for all applications and roles within our organization. Utilizing Entra ID as our core IAM platform, you will ensure secure and efficient management of user identities, access controls, and permissions. You will leverage Single Sign-On (SSO) and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) to streamline access to third-party applications, enhancing our security posture and user experience.
Qualifications
What you'll get to do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards for all applications and roles within the organization, with a specific focus on Entra ID.
- Design and manage role-based access control (RBAC) models to ensure appropriate access permissions across all applications.
- Oversee the user lifecycle management process, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and role assignment for employees, contractors, and partners, using Entra ID.
- Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions to provide seamless and secure access to third-party applications.
- Leverage System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) to automate user provisioning and de-provisioning across various third-party applications.
- Implement and manage secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and other advanced security measures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to identity governance and administration.
- Respond to and mitigate IAM-related security incidents, including unauthorized access and policy violations.
- Conduct regular audits of IAM policies and processes, generate compliance reports, and address any identified gaps or issues.
- Work closely with IT, security, and application development teams to integrate IAM solutions into various systems and applications.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies in IAM and apply this knowledge to enhance the organization's IAM capabilities using Entra ID.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- At least 5+ years of experience in IAM or related fields, with a focus on policy development and access management.
- Strong knowledge of IAM concepts, technologies, and standards (e.g., RBAC, SSO, SCIM, MFA, LDAP, SAML, OAuth).
- Extensive experience with Entra ID or similar IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, SailPoint, Ping Identity).
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java) for automation and integration purposes.
- Excellent understanding of security principles, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to IAM.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM-specific certifications (e.g., Entra ID Certified Professional) are highly desirable.

The salary range for this role is $140,000 per year - $155,000 per year.
