The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification and have extensive experience safeguarding digital assets and protecting sensitive information. Key Responsibilities
• Security Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect the Chicago White Sox's digital infrastructure.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential security risks to protect sensitive information and systems.
• Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to cyber security.
• Security Awareness: Conduct training and awareness programs to educate staff on security policies and procedures.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor security systems and generate reports on security incidents and breaches.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, and management teams to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and ensure the effectiveness of their solutions.
Qualifications
• Certification: Must possess a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security, preferably in a professional or high-stakes environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and vulnerability management tools.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex security issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the sports industry or a similar high-profile sector.
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
