Job Description
This seasoned leader will drive the Low Voltage GaN product development from incubation to revenue growth. This role will use a deep understanding of technical product and market knowledge, to lead the development effort while driving product strategy and roadmap. Key responsibilities also include product development including device, package, testing, and applications while working with the marketing and Business development teams to drive customer adoption and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead GaN device development including custom products & solutions based on marketing requirements, competitive analysis and customer specifications to enable new design win opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations, product marketing, sales to develop industry leading Low Voltage GaN devices.
- Maintain a well-documented library of issues and solutions working with worldwide FAE/AE team and GaN Engineering/Quality Engineering.
- Some travel to customer and internal support team locations.
Qualifications
- Education: BS EE with power experience (MS EE preferred).
- 15+ years of direct experience in GaN or Silicon MOSFET power semiconductor, including business and market development
- At least 3+ years of direct experience in GaN preferred.
- Experience with power converter/inverter ecosystem – controllers/drivers/device with ability to propose proof of concept solutions with GaN.
- Deep understanding of discrete power device platforms around the world, with GaN/Silicon Superjunction knowhow a strong plus.
- Knowledge of key power topologies and tradeoffs including switching-mode power conversion topologies and inverters.
- Skilled leader of engineers with experience interfacing with cross functional technical and business teams, to drive product/tech roadmap.
- Knowledge in industry trends in power electronics development, including infrastructure/computing, industrial and automotive areas
- Ability to work effectively with inside and outside stakeholders, including communicating with customers and our FAEs to resolve issues with the design and performance of related power circuits.
Additional Information
The expected annual pay range for this position is $235K-$295K. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
