Senior HPC/Linux DevOps Engineer

This is what you will do as HPC DevOps engineer at NXP
You are expected to work very closely with your global colleagues within R&D IT and help deliver the HPC services (High Performance Computing and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) to our engineering and R&D customers. Your AMEC team has operational responsibility for all designated services within the region and help provide backup support to our other two regions, (EMEA and APAC), when necessary to ensure good coverage and fast response for any issues requiring attention. Your work will be combination of development and operations.

Typically you…
You can describe yourself as follows:
- Have bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer programming, or related area, with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience
- Have Extensive knowledge and experience with Linux Operating systems as Sysadmin. Have experience with HPC workload managers software’s like LSF, Grid Engine, or Slurm
- Have experience with EDA (Electronic Design Automation, chip design) workflows is a plus
- Have experience with desktop virtualization tools is a plus
- Have experience with DevOps tools like Git, Ansible, Salt, Python, Docker, and platforms like RedHat Satellite, ServiceNow, SPLUNK, VMWare and AWS
- Have a passion for automation and IT service improvements, including testing and technical documentation of the code
- Are a believer of DevOps, should be able to set-up, maintain and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure. Create and maintain fully automated CI build process
- Can analyze and resolve infrastructure resource and application deployment issues
- Have an outgoing personality, who likes to connect with other people and teams
