As the Vice President of Solutions, you will lead a dynamic team of solutions analysts and engineers within our Solutions and Implementations department at a global third-party logistics (3PL) company. This role involves strategic oversight of our solution development process and collaboration with various regional and global teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in solutions management at a 3PL, a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, and the ability to inspire and develop top solutions talent. This position is pivotal in driving our continued solutions excellence and maintaining our competitive edge in the industry.

What You'll Do On a Typical Day
- Lead a team of solutions analysts and engineers responsible for developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for customers across multiple industry verticals withing the logistics and supply chain industry
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments such as Business Development, Operations, Finance, Real Estate, IT, and HR, to ensure the solutions align with company objectives and customer needs.
- Develop and implement solution strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and support the needs of our customers.
- Solution development will include coordinating deliverables such as pursuit strategies, data analytics, process and material flow design, warehouse layouts, storage media requirements, automation selection, SOWs, and customer presentations.
- Work closely with various internal departments such as Facilities, Automation & Innovation, Engineering, PMO, Implementation, Business Development, Operations, Finance, Real Estate, IT, and HR to ensure cohesive project execution and optimal customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and leverage best practices across regions.
- Identify, recruit, and develop top solutions talent. Foster a continuous learning environment to keep the team updated on emerging trends and technologies in the industry.
- Motivate staff and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands on management
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the logistics or supply chain industry, with a strong focus on solutions development and pricing.
- Proven track record of success in leading teams to develop innovative solutions and pricing strategies for warehousing and fulfillment services.
- Deep understanding of logistics operations, warehouse management systems, and fulfillment processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and engage with clients at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement and excellence.
- Experience training and developing individual talent and high-performing teams
It'd Be Great If You Also Have
- MBA
- 15 years of experience in a leadership role within the logistics or supply chain industry, with a strong focus on solutions development and pricing.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- 3PL experience
