Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) Specialist to support and maintain the CIM equipment and interfaces with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration between CIM equipment and the MES systems. The CIM Specialist provides support and analysis for mission-critical battery manufacturing systems including the MES.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for CIM equipment and MES systems, collaborating with Operators, Engineers, Technicians, and IT.
- Troubleshoot and debug CIM/MES issues, addressing interlock errors and communication failures between systems.
- Assist in resolving unscheduled events and enhance the efficiency of escalation processes.
- Implement timely solutions for technical issues related to CIM and perform necessary software installations and upgrades.
- Document CIM configurations and processes to maintain clarity and consistency.
- Collaborate with production, IT, and engineering teams to ensure effective integration and functionality of CIM systems.
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in database administration/management
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
- Technical PC hardware/software knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues with equipment, operating systems and networking.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of MES monitoring and data analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Proficiency to create and maintain operating and training documents and manuals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with MES in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Experience with C#.
- Experience with networking a plus: TCP/IP.
- Experience in network systems firewalls and company proxies.
- Basic understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) in manufacturing processes.
