- 1st shift Mon-Fri from 7AM - 3:30PM with overtime as needed (Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little or no advanced notice. Work is normal business hours but flexible as needed)
$36/hr Regular Pay
The System Administrator Is Responsible For The Following
- IT Operations and Security including Systems Monitoring, User & Data Management and Facilities Support
- Management of Information Systems including Computer & Network Hardware, Service Providers, Users and the supporting documentation and procedures
The
System Administrator reports to the IT Director and is responsible for supporting and monitoring the IT Infrastructure, Help Desk & user community, providing technical guidance to the users and other IT team members. The System Administrator will also serve to provide a higher level of support for the help desk and assist in training the IT team, helping to ensure best practices & procedure are monitored and continuously improved. The position participates in a collaborative environment with the IT team performing incident management, problem management, root cause analysis and technical research to optimize the infrastructure. This individual ensures that the help desk and user community have the necessary system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to documented standards and protocols in order to maintain high system availability.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The System Administrator is required, as a minimum, to have a 5+ years of field experience managing IT infrastructure and users. The IT Director can determine whether education and training are "equivalent" to experience.
Must be able to read and write English. Spanish fluency is a plus
Responsibilities
IT infrastructure
- Ticket, project and Incident management
- Infrastructure installation, support and management activities
- Investigate, troubleshoot and remediate anything & everything
Communication
- Video & voice verbal communication with team, users and managers
- Chat, email and other written communication channels
- Documentation creation and maintenance
Security, Monitoring and Risk Management
- Create and Maintain SMRM procedures and supporting documents and protocols.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting a network, cloud, endpoint and server environments
- Working with management staff to support enterprise Risk Management goals
Job Requirements
- IT Hardware Infrastructure knowledge and experience
- Network fundamentals, routing & switching commands, troubleshooting, good working knowledge IPv4, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, & other network protocols.
- Knowledge of, and experience using tools such as Ping, Traceroute, NS Lookup, DIG, MTR, LFT, TCP Traceroute, Netstat, Netsh, SFTP SSH etc.
- Cybersecurity, Data, Monitoring, Security, Policies & Access Controls
- Advanced Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to set up, configure and troubleshoot
- Desktop, laptop, server, tablet, mobile, printer, IP camera & other endpoints
- Hard drives, BIOS, interface cards and Internet and VOIP
- Mobile device and cell phone hardware and software
- Wired and wireless networks
- Windows 10/11, Windows 2019+ server.
- Knowledge of LINUX, especially RedHat & Ubuntu
- Network devices including Watchguard, Ubiquiti, HP, routers, switches & other devices
- Data & Backup systems, Veeam, Acronis, NAS, SAN, iSCSI, Backup management
- Microsoft
- Office 365 Apps, Teams usage & admin
- Azure, Entra, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V
- SharePoint
- Intune Device Management
- Exceptional interpersonal communication
- Teach others and provide knowledge base that cascade information to IT team & users
- Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices
- Effective detail oriented, analytical, planning, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
