Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid Tuesday-Thursday. Monday and Friday remote)

Job Description
Immediate need for a Cyber security Chief of Staff for a customer located in Richmond, Virginia. The selected Cyber security Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in supporting the CISO and the cyber security team. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, strategic planning, and coordination of cyber security initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Assist the CISO in developing and implementing the organization’s cyber security strategy and roadmap.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the cyber security team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Project Management: Lead and manage cyber security projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Policy Development: Develop, review, and update cyber security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber security risks, ensuring the protection of the organization’s information assets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the cyber security team and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Incident Response: Coordinate and manage the response to cyber security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and implement cyber security training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cyber security initiatives and operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber security, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cyber security, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, practices, and technologies.
