Description
The IT Security & Systems Administrator will lead the companies IT Security efforts, focusing on the protection of company systems. This includes maintaining & improving current security standards, implementing new security roles, and providing system-level support, along with participating in requirements gathering.
IT Security
- Implement, and manage security solutions to safeguard corporate data, networks, and systems.
- Continuously monitor security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real time.
- Lead the technical response to security incidents, collaborating with the Incident Response Team to mitigate risks effectively.
- Conduct comprehensive security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance, and implement corrective measures.
- Optimize, configure, and regularly update security infrastructure to maintain high performance and resilience against emerging threats.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees, fostering a culture of best practices in cybersecurity.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, including HIPAA, NY DFS, and others relevant to the organization's operations.
- Stay ahead of evolving security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats, proactively adjusting strategies to enhance organizational security posture.
IT Systems
- Manage Windows OS and Server environments for optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure and maintain Cisco and FortiGate devices for secure network operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure stability and efficiency.
- Support and maintain Vertafore applications, ensuring smooth operation and user support.
- Administer Azure and Microsoft 365 environments for seamless cloud service integration.
