Job Title: Windows Server Administrator
Location: Portland, OR (locals required – onsite)

Responsible for tickets that tier 1 MSP cannot perform. Looking for a mid-level resource responsible for tier 2-4
We are seeking a skilled Windows Server Administrator to join our team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our Windows server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and related hardware and software.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of server resources.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to support business operations and projects.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016/2019).
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.
