Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for client end users, both onsite and remotely, addressing hardware and software issues, including operating systems, office applications, and printers.
- Resolve system and application problems in a timely manner, ensuring thorough follow-through.
- Assist in the management of daily IT initiatives.
- Onboard new clients according to established procedures, documenting their infrastructure for the engineering team’s reference.
- Contribute to documentation and training efforts aimed at enhancing the client experience.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, network elements, and related equipment.
- Conduct monthly assessments for assigned clients.
- Document daily activities using the ConnectWise ticketing system.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as part of the team.
- Provide desk engineer services for up to two days weekly.
- Support the assigned desk engineer with tickets and calls, and perform additional duties as required.
Required Skills
- Experience in desktop and user support.
- Proficiency in Active Directory.
- Understanding of networking concepts.
- Excellent technical skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong business acumen complemented by effective communication skills.
- Proven ability to consistently meet performance goals.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not mandatory:
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix).
- Experience with Windows Server (versions 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019).
- Familiarity with cloud solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Proficiency in MAC OSX.
- Relevant certifications (A+, Network+) that are current or recently recertified.
- Ability to work independently and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Some knowledge of IT best practices, with sound judgment in addressing clients’ needs.
- Adaptability to diverse business cultures and environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, especially with non-technical professionals.
